Shingeki no Kyojin | Attack on Titan

1) TITLE: Unicorns

SUMMARY: Kink meme fill. An 11-year old Armin witnesses two members of the Military Police murder his parents, and they force themselves on him to keep him quiet. The aftermath renders him mute, pregnant, and barely able to cope.

COMMENTS: A/B/O elements and graphic rape had me convinced it wasn't the fic for me, but I'm glad to have eventually read it. The second-person narration is different, but interesting. 

2) TITLE: Comedown

SUMMARY:“You know what else, Jean? I’m going to be seeing and dreaming about that woman bleeding out and falling for weeks to come. That was what I was dreaming about when you woke me. Because of you. That was your nightmare to take on. I have enough of my own, thank you, and plenty more to come.”

COMMENTS: Originally a kinkmeme fill, this fic explores the possibility that Jean wasn't killed in chapter 58, and that Armin killed the woman before she could shoot Jean. This is a theory to which I personally subscribe, so I hope to see the next chapter play out something like this. (Hopefully it will, because the Armin and Jean interaction was really in-character and believable.)

3) TITLE: Tower of Babel

SUMMARY: After her previous college roommates moved out, Sasha managed to find the three replacements to keep her flat: Ymir, her alcohol connoisseur co-worker, Annie, a secret underground fighter, and Krista, the bastard of a rich man who pays her to keep her identity a secret. Three's all she needed, but when Sasha meets a homeless, pregnant teen by the name of Mikasa, she can't turn her away.
But in the wake of their new living arrangements, the girls are challenged to see their problems in a new light, and things start to pile up: liquor bottles, hospital visits, credit card bills, and maternity clothes. Sasha is determined to keep together the apartment of people she brought under one roof, even though it comes at a sacrifice. But the cute bald guy at the comedy club thinks she doesn't have to sacrifice a thing: all she has to do is accept a little help.

COMMENTS: I started this fic because the author runs the popular tumblr blog textsfromtitanfood, and they have some pretty cute headcanons when the SNK characters aren't busy with texting shenanigans. This fic is an adorable modern AU and definitely worth reading. 

4) TITLE: Ladyship drabble collection
AUTHOR: ShinjiShazaki at AO3
SUMMARY: Works taken from prompts requested on my tumblr, updated as I work on the backlog between stories. Full to the brim of ladyships and only ladyships.

COMMENTS: So far, this fic is a collection of nine usually-unconnected oneshots. My personal favorites are chapter 8, which is a continuation of the author's recently-completed fic thieves in the night, and chapter 4, which is some hella awesome Mikasa/Annie smut. A fic for femslash fans everywhere. 

5) TITLE: Forget the World

SUMMARY: Annie, in short, despises her human form and all the sad little commodities (hunger/pooping/periods) that come with it. 
RATING: Mature 
SHIPS: Annie/Armin
STATUS: complete, 2829 words
COMMENTS: Okay, I'm biased- I requested this fic. But even if I hadn't, I know I still would have loved it. A really neat look at Annie's character, even though we have no evidence that she had any preference for either her human or titan form. Somebody was cool enough to turn my stupid headcanon into a fantastic fic, and for that, it deserves a spot on this list. I only wish it was on AO3 or FFN!
